Saarang 2013

Saarang is the annual cultural festival of IIT Madras, and this month it takes place between the 9th and 13th of January. The event attracts a 50,000-strong crowd made up primarily of students from all across India.

The 5-day festival will feature a range of events and activities including music and literary events, workshops, quizzes, fashion shows, dance events and much, much more. Highlights include "Brothers in Unison", a classical music performance by the Gundecha Brothers (Hindustani) and Malladi Brothers (Carnatic); the ‘Sunburn Campus‘ show – a branch of the annual Sunburn Music Festival held in Goa; a rock show by British band Anathema; and a musical extravaganza by award-winning music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy on the final night.
