Hiphop Tamizha – Iraiva music video

India’s Hip Hop scene is growing by the day and in the Southern state of Tamil Nadu one man brings Tamil rap not only to the local listeners but thanks to the internet, the global Tamil diaspora. His previous two videos have gone viral, with his first release causing a sensation and reaching over 1.8 million views on youtube.

On the 6th April, attended by press and fellow celebrities including director Prabhu Solomon, director Vasanth and music director Anirudh Ravichander, Adhi aka Hiphop Tamizha released his new music video to the industry for reviews.

Today, at the dawn of the Tamil new near, Adhi has officially released his latest video titled Iraiva (GOD) directed by Devesh Jayachandran & Kalaiselvan. Let us know what you think.

The release of Iraiva was originally set for March but was postponed due to the student protests in Tamil Nadu against Sri Lanka’s human rights atrocities. He instead released Manithan Tamizhan which celebrates Tamil, looking at the history of the language and its influences on other cultures throughout history.

With three amazing music videos from his 2012 album “Hiphop Tamizhan” now released and music collaborations with Kollywood producers under his belt, what now for Hiphop Tamizha?

We hear that India’s book of Records is approving Adhi & Hiphop Tamizha as the “First artist to release a Tamil Hiphop album from India.”

We at thamarai.com wish this young artist & social activist the very best for the future and look forward to his future releases.
