Today, we’re wishing the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan a very happy birthday! 

Fans might remember that Aishwarya’s transformation from beauty queen to screen siren began in Tamil cinema, so for this week’s throwback we bring you a song from her debut movie ‘Iruvar’, directed by Mani Ratnam and co-starring Mohanlal and Prakash Raj.

We think Aish is sizzling in ‘Hello Mr Ethirkatchi’, a cabaret number sung by Harini, with lyrics penned by Vairamuthu and music composed by none other than A R Rahman, another international star that started off by making his mark in Tamil cinema!
