VIMA 2013 – Best Indian Song Winners

Three Tamil-language songs have been selected for the top three spots in the VIMA 2013 Best Indian Song category. The VIMAs recognise music by independent and unsigned artistes from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.

First place went to Thyivya for her track "Inni Vendham" featuring X’Treme, Mista Carey and D7 of S.L.Y. squad. The song has clocked up over one million views since it was released in June 2012, and made it to the number 4 position in our very own Top 30 tracks of 2012! She also recently performed at the KLIMF – click here to check out the video, with exclusive backstage footage!

The Silver award went to "Karaigindre – A Tiban Musical" sung by Krishna and Narmamadha, with Stylo D’Viruz’ track "Avaleh Partenda" featuring Vish-1 and Shameshan Mani Maran came in third place.

All of the winners will receive crystal awards sponsored by Nambikei.com.

"Some of the songs in the category deserve to be in top Kollywood and Bollywood soundtracks," said Meera Thuraivel, co-founder of VIMA. "With the right production team and mastering, these songs can gain a global audience."

The awards ceremony will be taking place at the end of this month at an exclusive event at The View G Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
