Kajal in Bollywood

Remember guys, I’m talking about Kajal, not Kajol!

You may remember from a previous Kollyburst that the Surya hit film “Singam” was being remade in Hindi. The shooting has been going at a brisk process with the lead actor Ajay Devgn. Intially, it was Anushka who was asked to reprise her role in the Hindi version but the tall actress had to turn down the offer due to clash of dates with her other films.

So finally, actress Kajal Agarwal (Saroja, Modhi Viliyadu, Naan Mahaan Alla) has bagged the offer and will be making her debut in the Hindi industry with this action flick.

Sources say that Kajal will join the unit in Goa shortly.

Is it me but whenever you see Prithviraj and Prakash Raj coming together for a film, you just have this feeling that it is going to be a hit? I think it’s true! Both actors have given hits such as “Mozhi” and “Vellithirai”. Now the actors are back in Tamil with their Malayalam film "Anwar" being dubbed in Tamil

The film deals with issue of Islamic terrorism in a sensitive manner. It is a realistic story based on the series of bomb blasts that took place in Coimbatore. The film was a hit in Kerala and we hope it will be a hit in Kollywood too.

Where is Billa 2?

Though Billa 2 is definitely going to be happening, the film is still in its early stages. Initially, Vishnuvardan who directed Billa, was supposed to direct the prequel but due to other commitments in the Tollywood, he had to opt out of the making.

Finally the producers bagged Director Chakri Toleti (Unnaipol Oruvan) to direct this stylish flick. The script is yet to be finalised as well as auditions for the rest of the casting.

Ajith will join the team at the end of this month whilst Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the songs.
