Today is Pancake day (Shrove Tuesday), the day preceding Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. As usual we have found a brown twist, proudly featuring the trailer to an upcoming short film about the South Indian pancake! The Dosa is the vegetarian's favourite, ranging in size from your palm to 6ft long. You can eat them plain, with coconut sambal or stuffed with spicy potato fillings. For those after something a little meatier, crack an egg on top!
"Dosa Hunt" is the greatest hunt for South Indian food in New York City, committed to film! Starring Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend), Vijay Iyer (Vijay Iyer Trio), Ashok Kondabolu (Das Racist), Alan Palomo (Neon Indian), Amrit Singh (Stereogum), Himanshu Suri (Das Racist) and Anand Wilder (Yeasayer) - 7 music men on the journey to find the best Dosa in town. Check out the trailer below. We now feel inspired to make a film on the best Kothu Roti in London!
