Student of the Year
Actor Shah Rukh Khan has joined forces with Dharma (Karan Johar’s production house) for the film "Student of the Year". Details of the plot have been kept under wraps of this film which is to be directed by Karan Johar – who brought us films such as Dostana and Kuch Kuch Hota Hait. The leading roles have been given to newcomers Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt (daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt), and Varun Dhawan (son of director David Dhawan). Though his last release (My Name Is Khan) was along serious lines, KJo has said this film will be a lot more light-hearted, and the newly-release posters certainly have an air of fun about them. Until more details are revealed, all we can do is speculate about the plot!
Irrfan in Spider-Man!
Actor Irrfan Khan has already featured in international features such as Slumdog Millionaire and A Mighty Heart (alongside Angelina Jolie). Now, Irrfan has been confirmed to be playing a villian in "Spider-Man", the fourth feature in the Spiderman series! It certainly seems like 2011 will be a busy year for him; apart from his role in Spider-Man, he is currently awaiting with the release of Saat Khoon Maaf in February, and has also said he is in talks for other international projects.
Priyanka’s Russian Persona
Check out the promo of the song "Darling" from Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming film Saat Khoon Maaf. The film is a thriller in which Priyanka plays a serial killer who marries seven times and subsequently kills each of her husbands.Priyanka is no stranger to playing several personalities in one film – she played 12 roles in What’s Your Raashee. But this film is an altogether much darker feature and, judging by the trailers and promos, one that will show Priyanka in ways we’ve never seen her before.
