Happy Birthday Big B!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan flew back from South Korea to join the legendary Amitabh Bachchan in his 68th birthday celebrations. Whilst Big B said he did not intend to do anything big, he was thrown a party by Sony TV, where he was presented a 68 kilogram cake by his fans! A documentary about his life, and the decades he’s spent in the film industry was also aired. The very talented actor remains as one of the most revered icons in Bollywood, and recently won the National Award for his role in Paa. We at Thamarai wish Amitabh-ji a very happy birthday!

Sir Michael Caine’s hit film to be remade!
The director duo Abbas-Mustan are planning to make a remake of the hit film “The Italian Job”. The remake will draw inspiration from both the 1969 version and the 2003 version, and is to be called “Players” in Hindi. Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Omi Vaidhya will take on the male leads, while the heroines are said to be Sonam Kapoor and Bipasha Basu. Though Abbas- Mustan have bought the rights to the film, and thus are entitled to make a scene-by-scene remake, they say that they have adapted the screenplay to make it more Indianised, and more up-to-date. Filming is due to start in the first week of November this year.
