Rising Jeeva

Actor Jeeva is keeping himself busy with a list of films in his pocket. He is awaiting the release of K.V.Anand’s “Ko.” The director had a previous hit with “Ayan” so we will definitely be expecting some buzzing action. In the meantime, the actor is starring in “Singam Puli” in which Jeeva plays dual roles for the first time, as he will be playing both hero and villain. Next up will be “Vandhaan Vendraan”, also an action film. The actor plays a boxer, and to make the character look real, Jeeva has been undergoing some training. Finally the big budget movie that Jeeva is yet to start is Director Shankar’s Tamil remake of Hindi hit 3 Idiots.

Great going Jeevs!

Double Action!

The recent release in which we have seen an actor do a dual role was our Tamil Super Star Rajinikanth in “Enthiran.” Then there is Jeeva who is playing two characters in “Singam Puli.” The other actor who is also doing the same is the handsome actor Karthi. After having a string of successes his previous films, the actor has nearly completed his forthcoming film “Siruthai” – is a remake of Telugu film “Vikramakudu.” The actor has played the double role with ease, and is eager for the audience to see a song in which he has nine get ups.

Gautham, the Business man

Some of you may know that Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has recently formed his own production called “Photon Kathaas” which is due to be one of the important media conglomerates of South India. It is already associated with some Hollywood Studios and now the director has decided to take things one step further.

He is now starting his own music label called “Photon Kathaas Music” which is to be launched on December 10th 2010 in Chennai. The special guest who will launch this music company will be none other than Gautham’s best buddy Harris Jayaraj. Although the two parted ways after “Vaaranam Aayiram,” it was actor Surya who brought the two idols together.

Shankar’s 2 Idiots?

So there are rumours that Ilayathalapathy Vijay may not be part of Director Shankar’s Tamil remake of 3 Idiots. Reason is the director had asked all three actors Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth to come down for a pre-photoshoot in which they would try different get ups and hairstyles. It seemed Vijay was very reluctant in compromising, as a new look for the Tamil 3 Idiots could affect his appearance in other films such as Velayudham.

Will Vijay really lose out to what could be another big budget film all because of a hairstyle? Let’s hope not!
