Raghu Dixit No.1 on itunes

Indian folk singer Raghu Dixit was invited last week to perform on ‘Later…with Jools Holland’ which screens on BBC 2. The show is a massive platform reaching over 3 million viewers across 100 countries via the TV and online, with the likes of Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney and Kings of Leon on previous episodes. During the summer the South Indian singer of mixed Tamil & Kannada heritage performed at the London Mela in London which attracted over 90,000 visitors. 

The response from the BBC show has been phenomenal with his facebook page inundated with messages. Raghu announced yesterday (23rd November 2010) that his album is No.1 on the itunes world album chart and the song ‘No man will ever love you, like I do’ is number 2 on the itunes world single’s chart. The breath taking performance on ‘Later…with Jools Holland’ can be viewed below.
