Sivaji – The Boss, in Hindi

When Superstar Rajnikanth, music director A R Rahman and ace director Shankar team up – its bound to create ripples. The music of Sivaji – The Boss – one of the highest selling Tamil albums of 2007, is no exception to this. The soundtrack, which sold over 2,000,000 copies in Tamil Nadu alone, is being released in Hindi by Sony Music.
Composed by double Academy Award Winner and Grammy Nominee A R Rahman, the Hindi soundtrack hits the music stores in Jan 2010. The album features songs by leading singers like Udit Narayan, Hariharan, Javed Ali and A R Rahman himself.

Sony Music is distributing the Hindi OST of Sivaji – The Boss across the globe, and expect it to work wonders in UK, USA and Middle East – where A R Rahman has a huge fan following. Sony Music has made the album all the more attractive by adding some bonus A R Rahman hits from blockbusters like Lagaan, Rang De Basanti and Guru amongst others. Sony are also distributing the much anticipated Tamil soundtrack, Vinnaithaandi varuvaaya, also by AR Rahman, out soon.
Sivaji – The Boss was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2007. Made on a budget of Rs. 600 million, the movie went to gross a massive Rs. 4500 million. This was Superstar Rajnikanth’s 100th Tamil movie. In UK, it debuted at No. 9 on the UK Top 10, making it the first Tamil movie ever to break into the UK top 10.
