Forbes Powerful Women

Forbes announced recently it’s list for the World’s 100 most Powerful Women. Coming in at a very cool 4th position is Tamilian Indra Nooyi from Chennai, India. She is the Chief Executive of PepsiCo, the largest food & beverage business in the U.S. with nearly $60 billion in annual revenues and responsible for over 300,000 employees. She came in three positions higher than Sonia Ghandi, the President of India’s Congress Party and the second South Asian woman on the prestigious list.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel took the top spot followed by American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Other South Asian women on the list included Chanda Kochhar – CEO of ICICI Bank and Bangalore resident Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, the founder of Biocon – India’s first biotech entrepreneur.
