Suthan: From London to Toronto!

India’s first YouTube superstar, Wilbur Sargunaraj, yesterday released the video for the song "First Class Dance" from his upcoming "Simple Superstar Movie". The film is the semi-biographical story of Wilbur himself, and what is unique about it is that it has been made using the support of the Wilbur Worldwide Community – each of the cast and crew members have been chosen by Wilbur from this online fanbase!

The track "First Class Dance" features talented musician Suthan, who is originally from the UK. Suthan was a familiar face in the Tamil student scene, performing regularly at numerous university Tamil society shows. He moved to Toronto towards to end of last year for work, and has since been collaborating with Canadian-Tamil rapper Chikaadee, and his group "The Nation Entertainment – World Wide Hustlers (TNE WWH)". Earlier this month, Suthan and Chikaadee released the video for their track "Waste of Time", which can be viewed below:

Recently, Suthan and the rest of the TNE WWH team met with esteemed Tamil music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, who was in Toronto as part of the "Engeyum Eppothum Raja" concert, where he performed alongside his father, musical maestro Ilaiyaraaja. The boys revealed that they not only gave Yuvan a presented on the WWH, but also gave him a live performance of their track "Call My Name"! We’re not sure as yet if the group will be working with Yuvan Shankar Raja for any projects in the future, but stay tuned for updates!

"First Class Dance" is a catchy track recorded here in the UK at the studios of producer Charles Bosco. The video was filmed last month in Toronto, and a number of Wilbur’s Canada-based fans came down to be part of the shoot!
