Wilson Raj Perumal has been labelled the world’s most prolific match-fixer in football’s recent history. An Indian Tamil born in a village in rural Singapore in the mid-60’s, Wilson gradually climbed the heights of international match-fixing all the way to the World Cup, becoming FIFA’s most wanted man.

His business model is so seemingly foolproof that the company has acquired an air of invincibility, even as its founder became sullied with scandal. As Saravana Bhavan went global, Rajagopal was charged with murder, found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

He is known as Ilaiyaraaja and he has recently been featured on Taste of Cinema’s list of ‘The 25 Greatest film composers in Cinema History.’
