Recently we put up stills from Urumi – an upcoming Malayalam epic drama, directed by Santosh Sivan who has previously worked on films such as Raavan/Raavanan, and Iruvar. The film stars Prithviraj, Genelia D’Souza and Prabhu Deva in pivotal roles, as well as cameo appearances by Vidya Balan, Tabu and Arya!
The film is to be released simultaneously in English under the title of "The Boy Who Wanted To Kill Vasco Da Gama", and tells the story of four characters who plot to murder Portugese explorer Vasco Da Gama in 17th Century Kerala. It is one of the most expensive Malayalam films to date, second only to the award-winning historical drama Pazhassi Raja. The film is expected to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi as well.
